National level 8th Painting Competition on Water Conservation aims at making the children aware of the need of conserving this precious resource and at the same time involve their parents in this noble cause. The 8th Painting Competition on Water Conservation will be held in three stages, namely, School, State and National Level.

The Students of Class 6, 7 and 8 can participate in the competition and create their artwork on the below-mentioned themes using any drawing material such as crayons, water colour, etc.

7th National Level Painting competition organised in Delhi on 8 February 2017 in August Kranti Lawn, India Gate. Over 13 Lakh students from more than 13,500 schools across the country participated in State Level Painting competition.93 students have been selected for the National Level Painting. The result of the competition would be declared on the same day.

Last year, the theme for the school level painting competition were:

1. Stop River Pollution
2. Nirmal Nadi
3. Contamination of Groundwater with Arsenic and other contamination issues

8th Painting Competition Important Dates

Eligibility Criteria

The applicants must fulfill the following criteria in order to be eligible for this scholarship:

1. Both male and female students are eligible for painting competition.
2. The students all over India can apply for this painting competition.
3. The students of class 6,7 and 8 are eligible for this painting competition.
4. The students must have Aadhar Card in order to participate in painting competition on water conservation.
5. All students who have participated in painting competition will be given a Participation Certificate which is signed by Regional Director, CGWB and Member Secretary, CGWA.
6. The winners will get cash prize and certificate of merit.

How to Apply:

The students have to apply through offline mode by following the below mentioned steps:

1. The principals of school will conduct painting competition at their schools of 2 hours duration.
2. The students will be provided drawing material by the schools.
3. The students are not allowed to make collage or patchwork in the paintings.
4. The students can make painting on A3 or A4 size paper.
5. There is no restriction on size or type of paper, drawing materials like: crayons, water colour etc.
6. The paintings which are not signed by the principal will not be accepted.
