How to apply for Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Merit Scholarship?

The Merit Scholarships are announced for Indian students by The Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan established under the auspices of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. School as well as college students can avail these scholarships.

The main of this scholarship is to provide financial support to those students who are talented but economically weak. These scholarships are available for school as well as college students. These scholarships are given to those students who are studying Sanskrit or Pali or Prakrit. The students who are studying in Class 9th and 10th having Sanskrit subject will get scholarship of Rs. 250/- per month for 10 months. The students who are studying in Class 11th and 12th having Sanskrit subject will get scholarship of Rs. 300/- per month for 10 months. The students who are doing Shastri or Graduation or BA or BA(Hons) having Sanskrit subject will get scholarship of Rs. 400/- per month for 10 months. The students who are doing Acharya or MA in Sanskrit or Pali or Prakrit subject will get scholarship of Rs. 500/- per month for 10 months. The students who are doing Vidyavaridhi or PhD in Sanskrit or Pali or Prakrit subject will get scholarship of Rs. 1500/- per month + Rs. 2000/- per year for 2 years. Only those students who are in India will get this scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

The applicants must fulfill the following criteria in order to be eligible for this scholarship:

Only those students are eligible for the scholarship who have got 60% marks in Sanskrit or Pali or Prakrit.
The students should also have Sanskrit or Pali or Prakrit in the current academic year.

Nationality:

Only Indian students can apply for this scholarship.

The applicant should have a relevant marksheet.
The students should also have bank pass book details in which the students should have an account in their name.
The candidates should also have their own Aadhar Card.
The applicant must have a Caste Certificate if he/she is SC or ST or OBC.
