Brief Introduction of LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship
The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship is meant to be awarded to students pursuing studies in India in any government or a private college/university. Also it will cover the technical and vocational courses expenses in Industrial Training Institutes or Industrial Training Centers which are affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (N.C.V.T) of classes for Graduation level.
The main aim of the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship scheme is to reward with scholarships to meritorious students who belong to financially weaker families. As well as provide them with better opportunities for taking up higher education and in return enhance their employ-ability.
Eligibility for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship
Students who have completed their 12 standard exams or any exam equivalent to it in the session 2015-16 who want to pursue higher education in
1. Engg., medicine, graduation (any discipline), diploma etc.
2. Vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes or Industrial Training Centers which are affiliated to the National Council for Vocational Training.
3. The student must have obtained at least 60% marks in his qualifying exam.
4.The total annual income of the parents or guardians of ward must exceed INR 100000 per year from all sources.
Duration
Student will continue to receive scholarship for the entire duration of his/her course.
Rate of Scholarship
Student will be awarded with an amount of INR 10,000 per year which will be paid in ten equal installments of INR 1,000. So, the amount will be directly debited into the account of selected candidate by NEFT.
Conditions for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship
i) Scholarship will be awarded to the candidates who have secured a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in the qualifying final examination and the annual income of whose parents or guardians total from all sources does not exceed INR 100000 per year.
(ii) The selection of LIC Scholar will be purely on the basis of merit and economic condition of family. Eligible Students having the lowest overall income will be given preference.
(iii)During the course the candidate should maintain more than 55% marks in professional streams and at least 50% marks in graduation courses in Arts or Science or Commerce previous final examination of the course for which he is receiving scholarship,if candidate does not comply the scholarship will be discontinued.
(iv) Only one student from a family can be awarded this scholarship.
(v) Student should also fulfill the attendance criteria of his/her college/institute.
(vi) Income certificate must be a self-certified affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper for self-employed parents and from employer for employed parents.
(vii) If at any stage it is found that candidate has obtained scholarship by forged documents or whatsoever, scholarship will be cancelled and the amount that has been paid to him will be recovered.
(x) The scheme will be subjected to evaluation at regular intervals by the L.I.G.J.F.
(xi) The regulations are liable to change at the discretion of the Board of Trustees of L.I.C.G.J.F.

After the online application form is filled and submitted the applicant will receive an acknowledgement on his mail ID. All future correspondences will be exchanged through e mail. The processing of the application forms and shortlisting takes some time. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
